The Effect of Different Levels of Nutrition at Last Period of Gestation on Liveweight of Ewes, Growth and Survival Rates of Their LambsUludağ Üniversitesi Ziraat Fakültesi Zootekni Bölümü, Bursa - TÜRKİYE

Abstract: The animal material of the research was 3, 4 and 5 years old 210 Merino ewes and their lambs. The research was started at the beginning of the last 1.5 months period of gestation and continued until the lambs were reached 60 days age. It has been determined that 500 g and more (especially 1500 g) concentrate feed given fed ewes daily at the last 1.5 months period of gestation increased the liveweight and decreased the weight loss of ewes and increased birth weight, growth and survival rates of lambs.
