Epidiymal Melanosis in Redkaraman Rams

Abstract: Diffuse epididymal melanosis were determined in 9 cases of 446 (2%) slaugtered Redkaraman rams. The pigmentation was unilateral in 3 rams and bilateral in 6 rams. These epididymes were seen on greenish-blue in colour macroscopically. In the microscopic examinations, the melanin loaded cells were obserwed in the wall and/or intersititum of ductuli efferentes and ductus epididymis.
