Abstract: The electromagnetic properties of even-even ^170-174Yb isotopes with neutron number 100 \leq N \leq 104 are studied within the framework of the first version of the interacting Boson Model (IBM-1). The B(E2) and Q(2⁺) values of the above nuclei are calculated. Numerical results for {\ }^170-174Yb are compared with previous experimental and theoretical values.
