The Morphological and Anatomical Properties of Astragalus barba-jovis DC. var. barba-jovis (Fabaceae)

Abstract: In this study, the morphological and anatomical properties of Astragalus barba-jovis DC. var. barba-jovis which is an endemic species for Turkey has been investigated. There are secondary growth in root and stem. The vasculer bundles are enclosed by bundle sheaths. The root and stem of this species has got tragacantha canals in pith. Number of chromosome is 2n=16 according to the basic chromosome numbers (x=8) and this species is diploid.
